		This indenture made and entered into this seventieth day of 
April One Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty between Zadock Kelly of the one part 
and Jesse Fain of the other part both of the State and County above said . 
Wittiness that the said Zadock Kelly for and in consideration of the sum of 
four hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath bargained & sold unto Jesse Fain his heirs and assigns 
forever a certain parcel or tract of land lying and being in the county of 
Morgan on the north side of little Indian Creek adjoining Walter Taylor , Hugh 
Hawthorn  & others being part of lot No. 299 containing forty acres be the same 
more or less when surveyed Baldwin County fifteenth district & lying below a 
line running from the center of the line of No. 305 to the middle of the line 
of No. 286 To have & to hold the said land & premises to the only proper use 
benefit & behoof of the said Jesse Fain his heirs and assigns forever in fee 
simple and the Zadock Kelly doth by these presents forever bind himself & his 
heirs & representatives to warrant and defend against & lawful title to said 
land & premises & every thing ---- of right ought and do belong there unto, to 
Jesse Fain his heirs & representatives or against him self and all other claim 
or claims what so ever .
In testimony whereof I have hereunto assigned my name and affixed my seal in 
the year and date above written in presence of
