Georgia}  This Indenture made this seventeenth day of May in the year 
of our Lord eighteen hundred & twenty three between Thomas King of said 
county & state of one part & Jefse King of Oglethorpe County in said 
state of the other part.  Witnefseth that the said Thomas King for & in 
consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand will & 
truly paid by the said Jefse the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged 
hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain 
sell convey & confirm unto the said Jefse King all that parcel or lot 
of land situate in Morgan County containing by estimation fifteen acres 
bounded as follows beginning at a red oak N E Butlers line running 
south 11 east 9 chains & 40 links to poast oak thence south 50 east 5 
chains 50 links to chesnut post thence north 40 east 14 chains 52 links 
to chesnut poast thence north 30 west 9 chains 20 links to chessnut 
post thence south 61 west 9 chains 20 links to the beginning red oak 
containing as aforesaid fifteen acres be the same more of lefs.  To 
have & to hold the same together with all & singular the rights members 
& appertenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to 
him the said Jefse King his heirs & afsigns to me & the said Thomas 
King do for myself my heirs & afsigns warrant & will forever defend the 
title of the aforesaid described land & premises to him the said Jefse 
King his ____ forever in fee simple.  For which I bind myself my heirs 
executors administrators afsigns to warranty the same from the claim or 
claims of every other person or persons whomsoever.  In testimony 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal the date first above 
written.
