DEMING Deed Book K, pages 657 and 658 Morgan County Court House, Georgia Georgia, Morgan County{ This indenture made and entered into the 30th day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty three between Jesse J. McIntosh of the one part and Charles W. Deming of the other part both of the county and state aforesaid witnesseth, that the said Jesse J. McIntosh for and in consideratioon of the sum of one thousand six hundred dollars to him in hand held and truly paid by the said Charles W. Deming at and before the sealing and delivering of the ______ the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained aliened sold conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain alien sell convey and confirm unto the said Charles W. Deming in trust as hereinafter named all that lot or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county and state aforesaid and town of Madison being the same lot of land deeded by John W. Porter on the 4th day of October in the year 1850 and a small piece of ground deeded by James A. Wade to said Jesse J. McIntosh on the 27th day of April in the year 1852 having the following meter and bounds to wit commencing at a stake corner in the public road leading from Madison to Monroe in Walton County at the corner of a stake deeded by John W. Porter to James A. Wade running from thence on the margin of the road easterwardly one hundred and ten feet to a stake corner thence directly across making a dividing line between this lot and John W. Porter about six hundred and twenty four feet this line runs a north west converse to a stake corner on the back line thence seventy feet westerdly to the corner of the lot sold to James A. Wade by John W. Porter aforesaid thence running southwardly across said lot with the line of James A. Wade's lot about six hundred and twenty four feet to the beginning corner containing by estimation one and three fourth acres--also a small strip purchased of James A. Wade commencing at the side walk on the street which runs by lots now occupied by said James A.Wade and Jesse J. McIntosh and running back parallel with the line between the said James A. Wade and Jesse J. McIntosh one hundred and twenty three feet back and ten feet wide for a wagon way. To have and to hold the above described parcels or lots of land, together with all and singular the rights priveleges and appertences therewith belonging or in anywise appertaining to the same unto the said Charles W. Deming in trust for the sale and seperate use of Maria Wiley wife of William B. Wiley during her natural life and after her death for the use of children of their marriage, now begotten or hereafter to be begotten; and the said Jesse J. McIntosh hereby obligates himself to forever warrent and defend the rights and title thereof against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whateverunto the said Charles W. Deming grantee aforesaid--in testamony whereof, the said J. McIntosh hath hereunto set his hand and afixed his seal the day and year above written. Reese, Clerk Additional Comments: Jesse J. McIntosh, son of Daniel and Sarah (Cartwright) McIntosh, married Mary Henrietta Lewis, daughter of Dr. James and Bethenia Lewis. Mary Henrietta died in 1850 and Jese Jackson married in 1853 Lucinda Lawrence, daughter of Hugh A. Lawrence. He lived in this house with his mother Sarah (Cartwright) McIntosh. His sister, Nancy Alexander McIntosh, married in this house to Madison Branch Snellings in 1851. Jesse Jackson McIntosh sold this house in preparation to move to Smith County, Texas with his wife's parents, the Hugh A. lawrences.
