Morgan County}  This indenture made this Seventeenth day of May in the 
year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty three between John Nisbet 
of the one part and Jefse King of the other part both of the County & 
State aforesaid.  Witnefseth that the said John Nisbet for & in 
consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand well & 
truly by the said Jefse the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath 
granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain sell 
release & convey unto the said Jefse King his heirs & afsigns to all 
that lot or parcel of land situate in said County of Morgan containing 
by estimation fifteen acres be the same more or lefs Bounded as follows 
____ beginning at a red oak on E Matters? Line & running south Eleven 
East nine chains 40 links to past oak thence South 50 East 5 chains 50 
links to chesnut post thence north 40 East 14 chains 52 links to 
chesnut post thence north 50 west 9 chains 20 links to chesnut post 
thence south __ west 9 chains 20 links to the beginning post oak 
containing as aforesaid fifteen acres more of lefs.  Together with all 
& singular the rights members & appurtenances to the same belonging or 
in any wise appertaining to him the said Jefse King his heirs, 
executors & administrators & the said John Nisbet will & do by these 
presents warrant & defend the title of the aforesaid described land & 
promises to him the said Jefse King his heirs forever in fee simple 
from the lawful claim or claims of all & every other person or persons 
whosoever.  In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 
date first above written.
