Was captured near Atlanta, Ga., by the Federal Troops, carried to Camp Douglas, Chicago, Ill. Confined in prison with smallpox which left his eyes so badly impared that he is unable to do any work, or scarcely see a man's face. $50. Barnes, W.C. Born in Morgan Co. Dec. 23, 1840. Served as private in Co. G of Cobb's Legion of Ga. Vols, Wofford's Brigade. In Va. On May 6, 1864, he was wounded by a minnie ball striking his right leg below the knee, shattering the shin bone& rendering the right leg substantially useless. $50. Bearden, W.P. Born May 22, 1840. Served as a Vol. Infantry in Co. C of 44th Reg. Of Ga. Vols, Dole's Brigade. In Va. On May 5th, 1864, he was shot in right arm near the shoulder by a minnie ball. In Va. on May 14, 1864, he was wounded by a minnie ball striking the right ankle, shattering the bone and rendering the foot useless. $50. Hale, W.H. Resided in Morgan County siince Mch. 14, 1842. Served as Sergeant in Co. L, 3rd Ga. Reg. Volunteers, Wright's Brigade. In Va. on July 2, 1862, he was wounded in left hip leaving the left leg almost useless. On May 2, 1863, wounded in right knee joint by a Minnie ball, leaving the right knee almost helpless. $50. Harper, J.B. Resided in Morgan County since Mch 24, 1845. Served as private in Co. G, Cobb's Legion of Ga. Volunteers. In Va. on May 6, 1864, he was wounded by a Minnie Ball, striking his left hand, cutting off one finger below the middle joint. $5. Hubert, John A.
