First we expect to see and greet our loved ones with tokens of love, then at Christmas we can not chrish any ill will toward any one as our hearts should be so overflowing with gratitude for a Saviour given us at this season there would be no room for malice, envy and hatred. ---D--- Christmas cheer from our viewpoint means love and good will toward all mankind, making others happy, forgetful of self. Unselfishness at this happy season is to be commended to a great degree in humanity. Get the real spirit into your hearts, the spirit of thankfulness for the Christ-child given us on that day, then it will be a green and living Christmas. ---D--- Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Wellborn have been doubly blessed in gaining both a son and daughter for a Christmas gift, as Asbury recently was married to a Miss Smith, of Athens, and Estelle to Willie Wellborn, of Drexel. May their pathway through life be ever bright with God's richest blessings. ---D--- A trip to Sparta recently was thoroughly enjoyed except the barren fields both beyond Greensboro and Eatonton. Surely the crops of all kinds were a failure in that section. Mr. and Mrs. Britt operate a splended hotel in Sparta and serve appetizing meals. Additional Comments: An error in the article listed Willie Copelan as Wille Wellborn. His wife was Estelle Wellborn. Not all of the article was available for transcription.
