A member of the Sunbeam band handed us the following item: We, the Sunbeams, regret so much to give up our leader, Mrs. Sadie Miller, who has moved to Atlanta. She has been our faithful leader since September, 1906, and we can truthfully say that she is a Christian lady and was a good teacher. Our hearts are sad when we meet for service and do not see her there. She always had a smile and a kind word for every one. Oh, how we do miss her. We pray that God will be with her and abundantly bless and reward her for all her labors of love here with us, pray she feel that her work here has not been in vain, but may she ____red to live to see the lessons of ___ve that she has taught grow___ the lives of every Sunbeam. Although she has moved yet we will not forget her and her family. There are several vacant residences in town now. This has not been the case for several years. Rutledge extends to Mr. Usher Whitaker and family a cordial welcome. Mr. Whitaker has recently built a nice residence in the eastern part of town. Miss Sophie Humphrey has a very pleasant class of music pupils. A number of her pupils have not commenced taking lessons yet. We bespeak for her a good class, as we feel assured that she is a good teacher.
