J.L. ATKINSON DIES AT HOSPITAL DECEMBER 22
  James Love Atkinson died Saturday, December 22, in Morgan Memorial Hospital.
  Mr. Atkinson was born June 13, 1900, to Benjamin Bartow and Birdie Evans 
Atkinson in Greene County, where he received his education.  He was 73 years of 
age.
  He came to Morgan County approximately twenty-five years ago and operated the 
Morgan County Freezer Locker.  He retired about three years ago.  He was a 
member of the first Baptist Church and a former Lions Club member.
  He is survived by his wife, Sibbie Few Atkinson; a daughter, Mrs. Eddings 
Atkinson Smith, Macon; and two grandsons, Lewis Y. Smith, Jr. and James 
Atkinson Smith.  Two sisters, Mrs. Hopie Geer, Greensboro; and Miss Lizzie Ree 
Atkinson, Milledgeville.
  Services were Sunday, December 23, 3 p.m. in Madison First Baptist Church, 
with the Reverend David Bookout officiating.
  Interment was in Madison City Cemetery.
  Sisk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
