The Daily Constitution July 6 1876
Rutledge, Ga., July 5 [1876]-Died, near this place, Mrs. Lucy P. Cheney, wife 
of Thomas B. Cheney, deceased.  She was born in 1789, August 19th, has resided 
at the old homestead, near here, 66 years; was a zealous member of the Baptist 
Church 45 years.  She is the mother of 13 children, 86 grand-children, 12 great-
great-grandchildren.  Many were the mourners around her grave.
