CAREY COPELAND DIES JUNE 7 IN COVINGTON

  Carey E. Copeland, 73, died June 7 in Covington following a long illness.  A 
native of Greene County, he resided in Mansfield at the time of his death.
  Mr. Copeland was retired from Bibb Manufacturing Company.
  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Ballard Copeland, Mansfield; daughter, 
Mrs. Eugene Parker, Mansfield; brother, Mr. Willie Copeland, Abbeville, South 
Carolina; sisters Mrs. Ivor Doggett, Decatur, Mrs. Eloise Sidwell, Madison, and 
Mrs. Annette Wiley, Rutledge; grandchildren, Mr. Lanier Shropshire and Miss 
Tanya Parker, both of Covington; and one step-granddaughter, Mrs. Annette 
Cason, Covington.  He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Sunday, June 9, at the Chapel at Harwell Funeral 
Home in Covington.  The Reverend Hollis Lunsford officiated.  Burial was in 
Carmel Cemetery in Mansfield.  

Additional Comments:
The family usually spells Copelan without the 'd.'  Two typos were corrected, 
both involving the names of the survivors.
