She was taken sick on Tuesday week before she died with a pain in left breast, and was never relieved until death came. Drs. Prior and Fambrough did all that was known to medical skill, and beloved ones and friends were ever ready to do anything in their power. But God saw fit to call her home. Had Allene lived until the twenty-second of October, she would have been twelve years old. She was a twin, her twin being the only son. There are four daughters. The funeral services were held last Friday morning, Aug. 6th, at Brownwood, conducted by Rev. J. A. Bell, after which the little body was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church, there to await the resurrection. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Few sympathize with them in this, their first great sorrow. May they be able to say, as Job of old, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him."
