C. T. Harper, an old Confederate soldier, 73 years old, was found
Dead in bed on Wednesday morning, December 26th, by his sister, Mrs. 
Tucker Ann Shelton, when she went to his room to wake him up for
Breakfast.  He had been dead for several hours.  He was buried in the
Rutledge cemetery beside his wife, who died about three years ago.
Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Victor A. Ruark.
