Mr. Jago, 70, was owner and proprietor of Jago Mercantile on the outskirts of Madison. A native of Clarke County, he had resided most of his life in Madison. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Little Jago, a son, Mr. William H. Jago, Jr., of Thomson, a stepson, Mr. Hoyt Dooley, Madison, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. W. D. Avera of Macon. A second stepson, Mr. Pierce Baldwin, Jr., died a number of years ago. He is also survived by a sister Mrs. Annie R. Hall of St. Petersburg, Florida, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at three o'clock at the graveside at Greensboro Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Summers, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Madison, officiated. Simmons funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
