Mrs. Sue Manie Few, age 95, died early Friday morning, December 22, in Morgan Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness. Mrs. Few was born in Morgan County, August 16, 1877, and had lived here all her life. She was the widow of J. E. Few. She was the daughter of the late Alexander Wellington and Sibbie Morcock Atkinson. For the past several years she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Atkinson, and Mr. Atkinson. She was a member of the Madison Baptist Church, the Homemaker's Sunday School Class, The Eastern Star, Morgan County Chapter of the U.D.C., and was the oldest graduate of Tift College. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. L. Atkinson of Madison, one son, Mr. Cooper Few of Columbia, South Carolina; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23, 1972, at three p.m. at the Madison Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bookout officiating. Her nephews served as pall bearers. Interment was in the Madison City Cemetery. Members of the Homemaker's Sunday School Class and UDC members served a honorary escorts. Sisk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
