MR. P. B. ATKINSON
  Funderal services for Mrs. Madge W. Atkinson, 75, were held Sunday afternoon 
at the Centennial Baptist Church.  Mrs. Atkinson died in Charlotte, N.C., on 
Friday.
  She was married to P. B. Atkinson who survies her.  she is also survived by 
three children, H. P. Atkinson, of Rutledge, Mrs. A. B. Causey, Mathews, N. C., 
and Mrs M. B. Sinclair, Charlotte; three brothers, Frank Williams, Farrar, 
Horace Williams, Miami, and Ed Williams, Memphis; three sisters, Mrs. D. G. 
Hinton, Mrs. George Davis, and Mrs. E. L. Johnston all of Newborn, and several 
nieces and nephews.
  The Rev. Ed Hightower officiated.  Interment was in the Brownwood Church 
Cemetery.  The nephews of the deceased were pall bearers.  W. C. Hemperley was 
in charge.
