WILLIAM S. SKIDMORE 
 
born Apr 19, 1831; 
1st Corporal May 18, 1861, Co. A., 8th Reg. GA Volunteer Infantry, C.S.A., 
Floyd County, GA ["Rome LightGuards"]; Discharged, disablilty Mar 05, 1862; 
died Sep 26, 1864. 
He was the son of Dr. Samuel Skidmore & his wife Mariah West.
