Item 1st: I recommend my soul to God that give it & my body to be decently buried by my exors. Item 2nd: I give to my beloved wife Lucy two negro men Yett & Stephen & $600 in cash to be raised out of my estate by my exors. Item 3rd: I give to my daughter Lucy a negro woman Judy now in her possession. Item 4th: I give to my son Presley a negro boy Godfrey. Item 5th: I give to my daughter Ruth Freeman a negro woman Jiniry now in her possession. Item 6th: I give to my daughter Sarah Ammons a negro woman Fanny now in her possession. Item 7th: I give to my son Samuel a negro boy Peter & a horse worth $100, saddle, bridle, a bed & furniture, cow & calf. Item 8th: I give to my daughter Nancy Rutledge a negro woman Lotty now in her possession. Item 9th: I give to my daughter Elizabeth a negro woman Cinda, a horse worth $100, good saddle & bridle, a bed & furniture, & a cow & calf. Item 10th: I give to my daughter Eliza a negro boy Tom, a horse worth $100, good saddle & bridle, a bed & furniture, & a cow & calf. Item 11th: I give to my daughter Morning a negro girl Mariah, a horse worth $100, good saddle & bridle, a bed & furniture, & a cow & calf. Item 12th: I give to my daughter Veannah a negro boy Isaac, a horse worth $100, good saddle & bridle, a bed & furniture, & a cow & calf. Item 13th: Should any of the negroes as above named & willed to any of my unmarried children die before same shall come lawfully into their possession then it is my will & desire my executors shall pay to each & every of my children that may be unfortunate in losing of their negro as specified the full value at the time the negro may die out of the money that may arise out of the sale of my estate not heretofore already named. Item 14th: All balance of my estate I wish to be sold & the net proceeds to be equally divided between the whole of my children share & share alike. Item 15th: I constitute & appoint Uriah E.
