Harper Johnson clhjohnson@aol.com ======================================================================= Georgia, Morgan County In the name of God, Amen I, Henry Carleton of the State & County aforesaid, being weak in body, but of sound mind and memory, thanks be to God for it and knowing that it is alotted for all men once to die, do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament and as for the good things of the world that it pleased God to blefs me with I wish to dispose of in the following manner, that is to say first of all I wish all just debts to be paid by my executors hereafter to be named. 1st I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Clark Mitchell, Widow of William Mitchell, deceased, all my estate both real and personal except as is hereafter excepted, to her and her heirs forever. 2nd I give and bequeath to my nephew Henry Carleton Cox the sum of five hundred dollars. 3rd I give to my nephew Henry Carleton the sum of four hundred dollars. 4th I give to my nephew Thomas Carleton the sum of two hundred dollars the above named ____ ____ to wit second, third and fourth to be part by my executors so soon as they can with ____ ____. 5th I give to my little grand children to wit Mary Coxe Mitchell and William Henry Mitchell two hundred two and one half acres of land known as the fifth district of formerly Baldwin County now Morgan aforesaid by lot number sixty two rented to Matton? DunnLew? Of Columbia County. 6th I give and bequeath to my little grand child William Henry Mitchell my shot gun and sleeve bullang? 7th It is my will and desire that my Negroes Billy & her children Harriet, Mona, Pleasant & Eliza with her future increase with the boy Washington unto my daughter Nancy C. Mitchell and her heirs forever only to her and then disposed. 8th I hereby appoint my daughter Nancy Clark Mitchell Executrix to this my last will and testament and James Gillespie Executor ____ and disannulling all former will by me made.
