(WB B, p63,64) In the name of God Amen -- I, Robert Chappell of the State of Georgia and County of Morgan being in a low state of health and knowing it is appointed for all men to die--but possessing sound mind & memory and wishing to make such distribution of my worldly effects, as is most to my satisfaction do constitute and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament. First == It is my will and desire that the whole of my Estate should remain in my beloved wife's Agnes Chappell's hands and be used by her for her support during her life so as for it not to be wasted and at her death to be equally divided among my Children. Second & Lastly I do hereby Appoint my Son William Chappell Executor to this my last Will and Testament-- In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand--this 10th day of March 1819-- Robert X Chappell (his mark) Note: Evidently Robert was too ill to sign his will, So His Mark) 1819 Sep 6: The Will of Robert Chappell was Probated and recorded. Georgia, Morgan County: Personally appeared in open Court Thomas S. Bouner one of the Witnesses to the written instrument of Writing purporting to be the last Will and testament of Robert Chappell who being sworen on oath Saith that he was present and saw the testator sign the Same by making his mark as his last Will and testament and that he believes the testator was at the same time in his proper sences and further saith that Drury Bradley and Polly Bradley were subscribing Witnesses to the Sworn Subscribed to in open Court this 6th day of Sept 1819.
