Written: October 25, 1823
Recorded: March 15, 1824

 Georgia, Morgan County: Benjamin Crane of afsd. county being at present 
feeble in body but sound in mind & memory make this my last will & testament 
having of Gods mercy & few things of this lifes goods I will dispose of it in 
the following manner.
 Article 1. I will my body lain decently in the ground & all expenses & my 
just debts paid.
 2nd. I will my brother Elijah Crane have all my library if alive & if dead to 
be given to my younger brother.
 3rd. I will the balance of my property to be sold & the effects to be equally 
divided between my father & brothers & sisters.
 4th. I will two notes in my possession on John H. Colquit & the other D. Holt 
not be pushed for collection contrary to their will before 25 Dec. 1824.
 5th. I nominate & appoint George L. Bird, Thos. Crowder, Esq., & Sampson 
Duggar, Esq. executors, 25 Oct. 1823.       /s/ Benjamin (x) Crain.
 Witnesses: B.M. Ware, L.T.P. Harwell.
 Proved by Bennett M. Ware who saw L.T.P. Harwell witness, 3 Nov. 1823, John 
Nesbit, clk.
