Harriss one lot of land drawn by myself in the sixth of Carroll County No. 106, also one still. Item, I give to my daughter Susannah P. Campbell one negro girl named Adeline and at her death for her daughter Caroline Melisa to have the said Adeline and her increase. I also give to said Susannah P. Campbell one safe. Item, I give to my son John R. Harriss one negro boy named Ben. Item, I give to my daughter Judith Burford one feather bed and one gig (?). Item, I give to my granddaughter Susannah P. Burford the next living child that my negro woman Silva shall have at the age of five years old and if she should die without on heir of her body the said negro is to go to my granddaughter Judith Burford. Item, I give to son Samuel Harriss one negro woman named Silva the mother of the above named children. I also give my son Samuel one sugar stand. Lastly, I appoint my son Samuel Harriss Executor to this my last will and testament in Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this Eighteenth of September Eighteen hundred and twenty eight. Signed sealed and acknowledged in presence of James H. Hughston Agness X Harris seal Jesse H. Phillips her mark Thos. O. Personally appeared in Open court Thomas O. Harriss and Jesse Phillips subscribing witness to the with--er instrument in writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Agness Harriss decd. Who after being duly sworn saith that they saw the Testa- sign seal and deliver the same for the purposes therein mentioned and believed she was sound in mind & memory at the time and that they subscribed the same as witness in her presence and saw James Huston do likewise.
