This file was contributed by: Elisabeth Green-Streeter egreenstreeter@bigfoot.com In the Name of God Amen I William McMurray of the county of Morgan in the state of Georgia being weak in Body but of sound and perfect memory and calling to mind the transitory things of this life do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament revoking all other will or wills heretofore made by me. First It is my desire that me Executors herein after named shall pay all my Fees & Debts. Secondly I give to my wife Eleanor McMurray all my Stock of cattle hogs & horses household & kitchen furni ture and the plantation whereon I now live with the following negroes to wit Epex & his wife Jamima & Jerry and his Wife Peggy during her natural life. Thirdly, I leave it in charge to my executors to use their utmost indevors to get a law passed by the Legislature to let free and emancipate my four Negroes above named immediately on the Death of my said Wife Elanor McMurray in consequance of their long and faithful services heretofore done to ether with any child or children they or either of them may have after this date. Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Evans my negroe woman Delinda and her child Cysey to her and her heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my son John McMurray my negroes to wit Rase Ceasar Lewis & Samuel to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Anderson Burney one Dollar. Item I leave to my son William McMurray during his natural life my negroes to wit Abby Susan & Fanny and at his Decease I give and bequeath them to his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson Franklin Augustus McMurray my negroe boy James to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson John McDonald McMurray my negroe Boy Epex to him and his heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my GrandDaughter Augusta Ann McMurray my negroe Girl Hannah to her & her heirs forever. Item I give and bequeath to my GrandDaughter Clarisa Evans my negroe Girl Keziah to her & her heirs forever. It is my further desire that my Executors at the death of my said Wife Devide the tract of Land whereon I now live equally between the said Negroes Epex & Jerry and make them titles to them & their children forever and furnish each with a horse suitable for ploughing with other necessa ries for farming and cows & hogs as they may think best in their judgement. I also give to my said Executors to be equally divided such further sum or sums of money or goods as shall remain unappropriated after defraying & paying the debts & legacies aforesaid. Lastly I hereby Institute and appoint John McMurray & William McMurray Jun. Executors to this my last will and testament.
