This file was contributed by: Barbara Walker Winge Barbarawinge@yahoo.com ==================================================================== GEORGIA} In the name of God Amen MORGAN COUNTY} I William Lawrence West of the County & State aforesaid being of Sound mind and disposing memory do hereby make Ordain & constitute this my last Will and Testament revoking all others- Item 1 I will that my body be committed to the Earth Christian burial and I commit my Soul to God Who gave it- Item 2d I will that all my Just debts be paid as Soon as possible Item 3d I will and bequeath to my beloved Wife Sarah P. West the plantation on which I now live including all tracts of land or parcels of tracts of Which said Plantation is composed to hold and have the Same during her natural life and also all the Household and Kitchen furniture tools of every description Buggy and all the provisions of every kind on hand at the time of my death, together with the crop of every kind made upon the Plantation the year of my death, & also all the Stock of every kind or Such part as She may choose, the above property of every kind and desceiption together with what money & notes that may be on hand at my death to be hers during her natural life and at her death to be divided as hereafter directed Item 4th I give and bequeath all the before mentioned property at the death of my wife Sarah P. West to my daughter Emma L. Walker and my son Hugh O. West consisting of the before named Land, Stock household and Kitchen furniture money & notes The land to be divided according to The Original Survey of lots No One hundred and One hundred and three beginning at the Original Corner of Shields and Walkers lots following the Original line North 45o West to Ballards line, giving my Son Hugh O. West, the right of choice. The property I have given to my Daughter Emma L. Walker to be for her Sole and Separate use during her natural life and at her death to belong to her child or children, but if She dies without issue her portion to revert back to my Estate to be Equally divided among my children or their heirs- Item 5 My other children viz- Nancy Mariah Overby- William S. West Mary E. Brown Sarah T. Hawthorn Jett Thomas West John A A West - Kate A Melton, I give them nothing more from my Estate as I consider I have given them a full Share heretofore- Item 6 I Will and bequeath to my children Jett T. West- and John A A West all my wild lands in Georgia with the exception a lot of Land near Rome in Floyd County No fiftyfive 3d District 4th Section Which I have previously given to my daughter Sarah P Hawthorn for her own and Separate use Item 7 My Plantation in the State of Mississippi Known as the Martin Place as I desire to Sell it as Soon as possible I wish to apply the proceeds to my own & my Wife's Separate use- Item 8 My Surveyors compass platting instruments and chain I give and bequeath to my Son John A A West- Item 9th My Gold Watch I give to my Wife Sarah P West to dispose of as She may think proper- Item 10th I hereby constitute & appoint my Wife Sarah P West & my Son Hugh O West my Executors of This my last Will and Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal, This Seventeenth day of October Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Three- Wm L West (Seal) In presence of Washington G.
