He married24 Feb 1837 Murray Co, GA (by her brother, Hiram Douglas, a Cumberland Presbyterian minister of Hamilton Co, TN), Didama "Dee" Douglas, daughter of Jesse Douglas who sold his land in 1837 located in McMinn Co, TN, and his wife Sarah Ann. Jesse and his family were living by the 1840 census in Murray Co, GA and by 1850 in Gilmer Co, GA. David Jackson Casada and wife Didama "Dee" were living in Gwinnett Co, GA in 1847 and moved in 1848 to Dade Co, MO where they settled. David Jackson Casada, Pvt. 6th Regiment Co. A, Missouri Cavalry in the Civil War (listed as Casada, David J. and Cassida, David J.) enlisted 17 Dec 1861 and discharged 17 Dec 1861 on a surgeons cert. David Jackson Casada died 21 1897 and is buried Buchanan Cemetery, near Everton, Dade Co, MO.
