LACKEY , 71, PASSES SATURDAY Mrs. Dora (Tucker) Lackey, 71, died at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. W.C. Bennett, 24 Rose Way Circle, Saturday night following a five months' illness. Her condition had been serious for the past week. Mrs. Lackey was born in Spring Place in 1870 and had lived in Rome for the past 32 years. she had been a member of the North Rome Church of God where services were conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with Rev. S.W. Latimer, church pastor, officiating. Interment followed in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers at last rites were Arthur Latimer, John Maxwell, C.B. Bradford, A.R. Howell. E.M. Hall and Marvin Robinson. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Lackey's survivors are four other daughters, Mrs. Ira M. Grinell and Mrs. Gene Cordle, of Rome; Mrs. L.B. Winkle and Mrs. Gussie Gibbs, of Chattanooga; two sons, Paul and James E. Lackey, of Chattanooga; one brother, Charles B. Tucker, of Gilbert,La.; 18 grandchildren and one great grandson.
