I, Drury R. Hall of the said State and County, being of advanced age, and knowing that I must shortly depart this life, deem it right and proper as respects myself and family, that I should make a dispositian (sic) of the property with which I am possessed, do therefore make this my last will and Testament. 1st Item. I desire and direct that my body be decently buried as my circumstances will admit. 2nd Item. I desire and direct that all my just debts be first paid out of my effects. 3rd Item. I give bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Martha, two lots of land, Numbers two Hundred and twenty and two hundred and forty nine, Eighth District, and Third section; Originally Cherokee now Murray County. Together with all my other property, consisting of hogs Sheep Cows Horses, farming tools, Smith tools, and coua___notes, bonds, house hold, & Kitchen furniture. To have and to hold and controll (sic) to her own use & benefit, during her natural life and no longer. 4th Item. After the death of my wife Martha, I desire and direct that all my property be equally divided between my children namely, Fenton J. Hall, Drury F. Hall, Robert L. Hall, William A. P. Hall, Thomas H. Hall, Van Buren Hall, Joseph N. W. Hall, 5th Item. I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Martha Executrix, and my worthy friend William Luffman, Executer of this my last will and Testament. This March 31st 1857. Drury R. Hall (seal) Signed, Sealed, declared and published by Drury R. Hall, as his last will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribed our names hereto in the presence of each other [these last three words are stricken out] of said testator at his special instance and request, and of each other. Luffman Georgia Court of Ordinary August Term 1857 Murray County Personally appeared in open Court William Luffman one of the Executors to the Last Will and Testament of Drury R. Hall and one of the subscribing witnesses to said will Mark H. Luffman & being duly sworn before me in open Court, depose and say that they saw Drury R. Hall, the Testator, sign, seal declare and publish the instrument now presented as his last will and Testament, freely, voluntarily, and of his own accord, and without any compulsion or influence whatever: that at the time of the execution of said will, said Testator was of sound and disposing mind and memory. And that he the said Mark H. Luffman signed said will as one of the witnesses in the presence of the Testator and at his special instance and request and in the presence of each other.
