I didn't get the rest of the NIX entries, which
would be on the next page.  This is from cemetery
surveys compiled by Brady WILSON, pub. JAN 1982 and
on file in the Genealogical & Historical Room at the
Bradley Memorial Library in Columbus.  I know Miriam
is the wife of William Anderson, and I take it John
Wilber is their son.  Is Willie Alphia his wife?  


From Jeff NIX:  <<That cemetery is located directly
behind the Krystal at the intersection of Floyd and
Buena Vista Roads.  (John Wells built a strip
shopping center right on the edge of the property
line)  Willie Alphia Rodgers is John Wilbur's first
wife, I do believe.  Jerry Monroe Nix is suposedly
buried in that cemetery, but nobody knows exactly
where.  (It's partly overgrown.)


MUSCOGEE COUNTY, GA. 
Mr. William Nix, aged 72 years,died at his home six
miles east of the city, Monday morning at 4:05
O'Clock after an illness of nine days with
paralysis.

The deceased was a consistent member of Midway
Church and was a Christian gentleman. He was a
member of Kimbal lodge No. 118, F, and A.M. and is
survived by his wife, six sons and three daughters,
J.M. & E.C. of Texas; E.C. & R.A. of Macon; B.G. and
J.W. of Muscogee County; and three girls, Mrs. J.W.
Taft, Mrs. E.M. Howell and Miss C.J. Nix, all of
Muscogee County. The funeral will be conducted from
the late home Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock
and will be conducted with Masonic honors. The
interment will be in the family burying grounds five
miles east of the city.

I have further information on this family if anyone
is interested, and I would like to find out more.  I
am trying to determine if these NIX folk are kin to
the NIX child buried at Clapp's Factory Cemetery and
if they are kin to the NEWSOME family buried there. 
Also, I am evidently kin by marriage to the above
NIX family on my maternal grandmother's side - a
cousin Sarah Carol "Sallie" GALLOPS (1894-1976) m1.
Louie NIX, who I believe to be the same as Bo NIX
above.  Any further information appreciated.

behind a Subway  restaurant in someone's front yard.


In the middle of all the graves was a Confederate Marker.

The Cemetery is now in the area of Columbus, Georgia, Muscogee County.


Looks like it might have been several miles out in the mid 1850's.


We do not know if the Cemetery was part of  a Church , Plantation or just
a family plot.
