Muscogee County: This indenture made executed and delivered this eighty day of
June 1842 between Horace Clapp of the County and state first aforesaid of the
one part and Ann C. Bradford and Jesse J. Sutton as trustee of the said Ann C.
Bradford of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum
of five dollars to the said Horace C. in hand paid at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt of which said sum is hereby acknowledged
he the said Clapp hath this day bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents doth do gain sell and deliver unto the said Jessee J. Sutton Trustee as
aforesaid the two following named negroes to wit, Maria a woman of the age of
thirty three years and her child Sophiah a girl of the age of four years to have
and to hold the said two negroes to him the said Jesse J. Sutton in trust
------- to the sole and separate use of Ann C. Bradford and her heirs forever,
the title  --- ---- in body and mind to and of the said two negroes I do hereby
warrant and --- myself my heirs executors and administrators to warrant and
forever defend the same to the said Jesse J. Sutton as Trustee for the said Ann
C. Bradford and to his successors in trust for ever in testimony whereof the
said Horace Clapp hath hereunto said his hand and affixed his seal the  day and
year above written signed sealed and delivered in presence of Wiley Williams J.
O. C. Horace Clapp.  I accept the Trust by the above deed created and bind
myself to execute  the -- in good faith this 18th June 1842.  Jesse J. Sutton.
