The Third Regiment of Georgia Infantry, Reserves, was organized in May 1864 under
the command of Col. C. J. HARRIS, and Company F was organized in Muscogee County,
Georgia, under the command of Oliver CROMWELL, per the website “Georgia Confederate

“THIRD GEORGIA RESERVES.—At an election held yesterday, at Camp Oglethorpe, the
following officers were elected: // Charles J. HARRIS, Colonel; J. L. MOORE
(Spalding county), Lieut. Colonel; J. B. GRIFFIN (Decatur county), Major.”  [Macon
