There were similar units in other states. Some of these service personnel, such as Coppedge(that his how his surname is spelt in the pension file)Coppage, collected a Confederate pension from the State government, after the war, so more data may be included in their pension files. Pensions filed: Mary B. Hanson, widow of Francis M. Hanson of Naval Battalion, she filed Walton County. Lizzie Peabody, widow of J.W. Peabody of Company C Whiteside's Naval Battalion, she filed in Decatur County, Georgia. Gendal S. Golden, served in Company A, in Naval Battalion, he filed Fulton County.
