company prior to May 6, 1863. The 37th Regiment Ga.
Infantry was formed partly by consolidation of the 3d and
9th Battalions of Georgia Infantry May 6, 1863. The 9th
Battalion Georgia Infantry was also known as the 17th
Battalion Ga. Inf.

Admitted to St. Mary's Hospital at West Point, Miss.

Elkins, W. H.- private February 25, 1864. Killed at
Atlanta, Ga. July 22, 1864.

at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865. 

Holland, D. P.- private March 16, 1864. Captured at
Decatur, Ala. October 24, or 28, 1864. Released at Camp
Douglas, Ill. June 17, 1865. 

Hopper, John A. (or Jonathan H.) - private. Captured at
Decatur, Ala. October 28, 1864. Died of diarrhoea at Camp
Doug las, Ill. December 15, 1864. Buried there in
Confederate Cemetery. 

Long, Aaron - private February 5, 1864. Killed at
Peachtree Creek, Ga. July 19, 1864. 

Lumpkin, H. P.- private February 26, 1864. Roll for April

shoulder at Resaca, Ga. in 1864. Surrendered at
Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865. (Born in Twiggs County,
Ga. May 1844. Died in Bibb County, Ga. in 1929.)

Frank- lin, Tenn. December 17, 1864. Released at Point

County, Ga. June 2, 1821.)
