The work of tearing down the walls of the old church, which was destroyed by fire caused by a bolt of lightning last fall has begun. The new church is to be completed by Nov. 1. It will cost with furnishings about $30,000. The contract for building a new fire engine house on Rose Hill at a cost of $5,610 has been let to C.E. Young & Co.
