A Popular Hotel

The most popular hotel in Columbus with Buena Vista and Marion County is the 
Estes House.  There one is given a genuine hospitality more in the nature of an 
honored visitor than a mere hotel guest and that is one of the secrets of its 
great popularity with our people.

Mrs. Estes has purchased the old Estes homestead on the west side of Broad 
Street, just above 12th, which is now being remodeled into a comfortable and 
commodious hotel building.  A number of rooms are being added, and including an 
annex for special occasions, there’ll be 36 rooms.  The ground floor will be 
used for office, dining room, sample room, etc. and in the rear, and connected 
with the hotel will be a natatorium.  The building is surrounded by beautiful 
grassy lawns, giving an air of homelike comfort.  In the new place Mrs. Estes 
will be better prepared than ever to entertain her guests.
