Mrs. Belle Shaw Andrews, widow of Tom Andrews, Sr., died at 5:50 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 1211 Munro Avenue, after having been in declining health for the past two years. Serious illness developed a few weeks ago, and her condition gradually grew worse. Mrs. Andrews was one of the best known and best beloved women in Columbus, and her death carries sorrow to a wide circle of friends. She was active in church and club work and in the program of the patriotic societies. She was vice-president of the Ladies Memorial Association, and had served as an officer of the organization for many years, had been on the governing board of the Woman's club for a number of years; was a member of Oglethorpe chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, and of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Andrews was one of the most faithful and useful members of St. Paul Methodist church, and was devoted to her church and its interests. She was active in Sunday School work and was a member of the Mary Lewis Redd circle of the church. Mrs. Andrews attended Sunday School and Church services as long as her physical strength permitted and her deep interest in St. Paul Church and its work was manifested to the last. Mrs. Andrews was born in Chattahoochee County, the daughter of Margaret Wardlaw Shaw and David Joseph Shaw. She had been a resident of Columbus from girlhood. The surviving children are Mr. and Mrs. Tom Andrews, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs Jack J. Pease, and the grandchildren are Augusta Embry Andrews, Isabel Shaw Andrews, Aylmer Katharine Andrews, Mabel Pease Andrews, Jack J. Pease, Jr., Thomas Andrews Pease and Margaret Isabel Pease. Surviving also are a sister, Mrs. Margaret Shaw Saynow, of Tallahassee; a brother, D. E. Shaw, of Oregon, and several nieces. The funeral services will take place at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jack J. Pease, 1211 Munro Avenue, conducted by Rev. K. H. MacGregor, pastor of St. Paul Methodist Church. Interment will be in Linwood Cemetery. The pallbearers will be; Ben Wardlaw, Billy Webster, C. S. Sparkman, Frank J. Bickerstaff, Hugh MaMath and L. G.
