She had apparently choked to death on a piece of steak, according to Russell County Coroner Lesley Vance. The funeral will be 10 a.m. today at Wynnton Baptist Church, with burial in Parkhill Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary Macon Road Chapel. Mrs. Bone was born Oct. 6, 1913 in Plains, Ga., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knight. She had lived in Columbus most of her life and was a member of Wynnton Baptist Church. She and her husband were owners of Valley Fruit and Produce Company. She was an active member of the Muscogee Chapter of the American Business Women’s Associated, and in Valley Rescue Mission work and church activities. Survivors include her husband, Aubrey E. Bone; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Bone Parker, and Mrs. Patricia B. Wyatt, both of Nashville, Tenn.; two sons, Aubrey Henry Bone, Sebring, Fla. and Jimmy L. Bone, Columbus; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
