        James Bernard Brooks
  James Bernard Brooks, 52, formerly a Columbus resident, died early yesterday 
at the Veterans Hospital in Atlanta following an illness of several weeks.
  He is survived by two sisters,  Mrs. Martin J. Land of Columbus, and Mrs. 
Harold G. Haskell of Atlanta,  three brothers,  Cecil Brooks, Los Angeles, Lee 
and Paul Brooks both of Chicago.
  Funeral will be held in Columbus.  Arrangements to be announced.

Brooks-Funeral services for James Bernard Brooks will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.
from the graveside in Riverdale Cemetery with Dr. Charles Granada, pastor of 
Wynnton Baptist Church officiating.  Mr. Brooks is survived by two sisters,  
Mrs. Martin J. Land, Columbus and Mrs. Harold G. Haskel of Atlanta, Ga,  three 
brothers,  Cecil Brooks of Los Angeles, California, and Lee and Paul Brooks of 
Chicago, Illinois.
