                   Robert E. Brodnax
 
In this city on Thursday the 20th instant after a
lingering illness of several months Dr. Robert E. Brodnax
aged about 50 years, formerly of Waynesboro, Ga but for
many years past a resident of Columbus.  Dr. Brodnax was
a kind and affectionate husband, a fond and tender
parent, and an indulgent master.  He made no profession
of religion, although during all his protracted illness
his mind was deeply enlisted in the consideration of
devine and eternal things. He was a warm hearted, high
minded and generous man, and his devoted family and large
circle of acquaintances will long cherish the remembrance
of his virtues.
