Paper W.J. Bryant Dead at 79 Retired carpenter Wallace J. Bryant, 79, of 36 Gammell St.,Columbus died Saturday at the VA Hospital in Decatur, Ga. Graveside service will be 2 P.M. Tuesday at ParkhillCemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon RoadChapel. Mr. Bryant was born Jan. 28, 1897, Macon County, Ala., son of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Bryant. He was a veteran of World War1 and had lived in Columbus most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude M. Bryant; daughters, Mrs. Mary Collier, Columbus, Mrs. Margaret Karkut , Keen, N. H., Mrs. Dorothy Sears , Stone Mountain; two sons Wallace J. Bryant Jr. Ogden, Utah, James C. Bryant, Fortson; sisters. Mrs. Deloris Johnson, Phenix City, Mrs Ola Shaw, Birmingham, Ala.; brothers, James Bryant, Columbus, Tom Bryant Notasulga, Ala; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
