Deacon Killed at Negro Church

Columbus, Ga., Sept. 3 – Seab Morris, a negro, created disorder on the grounds 
of a colored camp meeting at New, Ga. Sunday and when Warren Connelley, one of 
the deacons went out to remonstrate with him and stop the disturbance Morris 
shot and killed him.

The congregation started out after the murderer and in a short time had 
effected his capture.  Morris was turned over to the officers of the law.
