CHARLES COX MRS. CHARLES COX, 83, who had resided in Columbus for the past 47 years, died at her residence, 1032 Eighteenth Street, Wednesday morning at 2:08 o’clock after an illness of ten days. Mrs. Cox was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist church. Surviving are FOUR DAUGHTERS, MRS. A. PHELTS, MRS. A. B. MOORE, MRS. MARY PETERSON AND MRS. Essie Anderson, all of Columbus; one brother, WILL RHODES of Rockmart, GA; one sister, MRS. MATTIE LYNCH, of College Park, Ga; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock from the First Avenue chapel of Britton & Dobbs mortuary, REV. W. J. LAYTON officiating assisted by DR. O. B. NEWSOME, internment following in Linwood cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: C. W. YOUNG, SR., C. W. YOUNG, JR., LLOYD BEDSOLE, FRANK MOORE, A. P. PHELTS, JR. and J. C. ANDERSON.
