C. Cooper Died Last Night Funeral Services held this afternoon at 4 0'clock Interment Girard Cemetery Mrs. C. C. Cooper aged 66 years died last night at 6:30 0'clock at her residence 1412 Seventeenth Street following an illness of six weeks with complications of diseases. The deceased was a devoted member of the St Luke Methodist Church and was well known in the section where she resided and had a large number of friends who will learn of her demise with deep regret. Surviving Mrs. Cooper are two daughters Misses Lottie Gertrude and Beryl A. Cooper of this city. Four sons George W. W. Cooper of Phenix City, Al, M. Carl, Jesse W, and C. Edwin Cooper of this city, besides two brothers William Bruce of California and Silas Bruce of Ocilla, Ga. The funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 4 0'clock from the residence. Rev. B. F. Lawhorn officated and the interment was in the Girard Cemetery. There were a number of friends and relatives of the deceased present at the services who had come to pay a last rite of respect to Mrs. Cooper. The following were the pallbearers, Messors A. J. Phelts, Charles J. Bickley, Firm Roberts, C. A. Jones, C. L. Hollis and L. Becker. Charlotte Catherine Cooper born 07 May 1851 Talbot County, Ga, died 16 August 1916 Columbus, Ga was the daughter of James and Annis Bruce. She was married to George William Cooper born 25 May 1841, died 17 June 1891. Both are buried in Girard Cemetery Phenix City, Al.
