ED COOPER, JR

C. Ed Cooper, Jr, 83 of Columbus died Wednesday April
23, 1997 at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at St.
Luke Methodist Chuirch Turner Chapel with Dr. Hal Brady
and Rev. Helen Berenthien officiating according to
Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus.  A private
interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery.

Mr. Cooper was born June 20, 1913 the son of the late
Christian Edwin and Lettie Gunter Cooper, Sr.  A life
long resident of Columbus, he was a retired real estate
broker, general contractor and a menber of St. Luke
Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Garrett Cooper of
Columbus,  one brother  Bob Cooper of Ocala, Fl,  two
sisters  Lettie Noble of Columbus,  Helen Williams of
Atlanta and several nieces and nephews.

In liew of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke
United Methodist Church or favority charity.
