Mr. DUNCAN's Funeral:  Many Sorrowing Friends Attended the Sad Obsequies


The funeral of Mr. John DUNCAN, Sr., took place from the late residence on 
upper Second avenue at 11 o'clock yesterday morning.  The services, which were 
attended by a large number of friends and relatives, was conducted by Rev. A. 
M. WYNN, assisted by Rev. J. H. SCRUGGS and Rev. E. H. McGEHEE, in a very 
impressive manner.  The interment occurred in Linwood Cemetery.  The following 
gentlemen acted as pall bearers: Messrs. George A PEARCE, S[amuel] B. HATCHER, O
[liver] P. POE, Wheeler WILLIAMS, L[ucius] H[enry] CHAPPELL and E[rvin] J. 
RANKIN.
