MASSEY HELD THIS MORNING SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED FROM THE OLD HOME AT 10 O’CLOCK SUNDAY – INTERMENT AT MASSEY BURIAL GROUND. The funeral of J.W. Massey who died Friday night from the results of a wound, self-inflicted, was held Sunday morning at 10 o’clock from the old home of the Massey’s about ten miles from the city. The services were conducted by Rev R. M. Lumpkin and the interment was in the old Massey burial ground. The funeral was largely attended, and the following friends of the deceased and his family acted as pallbearers. J.A. Hunnicot, T.J. Haden, H.H. Phelts, H.C. Pwok, H.H. Fuller and R. H. Tweat Additional Comments: The old MASSEY burial ground is currently located on Marlone's Range 22 at Ft. Benning, GA. J.W. stood for James Walton. He was the older brother to S.
