Funeral services for Carole Jan Hunter, age 62, who died April 30, will be 
held Tuesday at 2:00 pm from the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Dr. Bob Cline & 
Dr. Richard Bailey and Rev. Allen Hunter Sr. will officiate. Visitation will 
be Monday 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Hunter was born in Columbus, Ga. on 
Dec. 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Blanche Jackson & Margaret Savage 
Thames. She retired from Sonoco Products Co. in April 1991, was a member of 
the Women Of The Moose in Hartsville, and a member of the First Baptist 
Church. Surviving are her husband: Allen M. Hunter, Sr., Hartsville; Son & 
daughter in law: Allen & Laurie Hunter, Jr., Florence, S.C.; daughter: Debra 
Jan Munn, Hartsville; 2 granddaughters: Courtney Lynn James, Hartsville; Katie 
Ann Hunter, Florence; Sister: Sandy L. Thames, Memphis, Tenn., Sister in law: 
Sandra Thames and her daughter: Alexis, Hewlett, N.Y. and 4 brothers in law: 
Paul, Gene, Rhen & George Hunter, Jr., Hartsville. She was preceded in death 
by a brother Danny Thames. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetic 
Association or American Heart Association.
