G.G. MacDonell passed away. Dr. MacDonell was one of the most widely known ministers in the state and his death is deeply mourned not only by the members of the Methodist church, for which he did such noble, faithful work, but by the hundreds, indeed thousands of other friends, who appreciated and admired his purity of life and lofty character. Nowhere did he have warmer, more devoted friends than in Columbus, where he had served both as pastor and presiding elder. Dr. MacDonell was one of the veterans of the cross of Georgia.
