Mrs. Johnson was a remarkable woman in many respects. She was a great worker in revivals in this section of Georgia. She was a member of the Methodist church and attended every camp meeting held at the old Central campground for many years. She took such a great interest in the meetings that she was called “Mrs. Camp-Meeting” Johnson. She was the founder of East Highlands Methodist Church in Columbus.
