Pou Is Dead Judge Joseph F. Pou died this morning at 3:15 o’clock after a long illness. A few weeks ago Judge Pou’s condition became critical and it was feared that he would pass away. He rallied, however and was slowly improving; although at his age and feeble condition gave but little hope for a complete recovery. About a week ago there was a change for the worse and since then he has gradually grown weaker, the end coming at the above stated hour. Judge Pou was known and respected by the entire community and the announcement of his death will carry the keenest regret to those who knew him. He was for many years one of the most prominent men in Muscogee County and for quite a while was Ordinary of the county, retiring from that office some seven years ago. He was a lawyer who was quite gifted in his profession, and a man whose strong character and high integrity commanded the respect and esteem of all who knew him. Judge Pou is survived by his wife and four sons, Messrs. John Pou, Felder Pou, Joseph Pou, Jr. and Dr. Robert E. Pou. A more extended sketch cannot be given in this issue owing to the lateness of the hour. – Saturday’s Enquirer This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
