John F. Beard

John Franklin Beard, 75, 312-K Peabody Apts., died at 3:30 P. M. Tuesday after 
a short illness.

He was born July 20, 1880 in Miller County, son of the late Jim and Lucy Tipton 
Beard.  He had resided here 14 years and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie Lou Beard; three daughters, Mrs. J. P. 
Crumbliss, Madeira Beach, Fla., Mrs LeRoy Thierolf, Germany, and Mrs. Susan 
McClain, Columbus; two sons, SFC Jim F. Beard, Columbus, and SFC B. D. Beard, 
Honolulu; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Williams, Colquitt, and 11 grandchildren.
