In fact we are forced to the conclusion that these occurrences are more frequent than in former years. A very sad case comes from Flat Rock, nine miles north of Columbus, that during a thunder storm on Wednesday the 15th inst., Mr. Calvin Knight, his wife and daughter were instantly killed by lightning. When found their bodies were lying as they had fallen and were very dark caused by the deadly stroke. Mrs. Knight was the sister of Mrs. Wimberly Childs, of Talbot County, and of a most excellent family.
